- Criminal Defense
Will S. Thayer graduated cum laude with a B.A. in English from Ohio University in 2008. While at Ohio University, he also played on the men’s ice hockey team. In 2011, Will graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he served as Vice President of the Moot Court Honor’s Society. He was a member of Kent’s award winning national moot court team and traveled across the country representing the school.
After graduating from law school, Will worked at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. During his time there, Will tried over 150 bench and jury trials to verdict and argued over 200 motions. Will handled various cases including traffic violations, misdemeanors, DUIs, and felonies. He also revamped the office protocol for prosecuting DUIs and that protocol is now used at various State’s Attorney’s Offices throughout the State. While an Assistant State’s Attorney, Will served as an instructor for the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
