Attorney Lauryn E. Parks is a Partner with the firm’s Transactional and Employment Law groups. Ms. Parks counsels employers on compliance with employment laws, prepares employment and non-compete agreements, drafts employee handbooks and employment policies, and represents employers in employment-related disputes and administrative charges. Ms. Parks also works with employers to structure and prepare nonqualified deferred compensation plans for their employees.
Ms. Parks assists business owners in the sale or purchase of businesses, including with regards to negotiating employment and consulting agreements connected with the sale. She represents both buyers and sellers with respect to mergers and acquisition transactions by performing due diligence and drafting and negotiating purchase agreements. Ms. Parks provides legal counsel for closely-held businesses in a variety of transactions, including business formation and restructuring, as well as drafting and negotiating a wide array of contracts.
