Martin D. Tasch is a driven, passionate and resourceful attorney dedicated to achieving his client’s goals. Mr. Tasch began his practice in 1985 with the firm of Harvey J. Barnett & Associates in Chicago, which later became Barnett, Bornstein & Blazer. Mr. Tasch was quickly immersed in major commercial litigation matters for the firm, and tried many cases to verdict. He became a partner in the firm in 1995. In 1996, after Barnett, Bornstein & Blazer disbanded, Mr. Tasch started a solo practice in Chicago, and moved his practice to Oak Brook in 2001. He continued practicing commercial litigation, and began representing financial institutions in the financial crisis in 2007. At that time he joined Lebow & Malecki, creating the firm of Lebow, Malecki & Tasch.
His experience includes jury and bench trials in state and federal court, arbitrations, mediations and appeals. Cases have included a wide range of matters including complicated breach of contract lawsuits, multi-million-dollar construction cases, foreclosures, franchise disputes, employment matters, injunctions relating to partner and shareholder disputes, high value commercial collection matters, probate disputes, professional malpractice claims and personal injury matters. As a partner of Lebow, Malecki & Tasch, Mr. Tasch represented the firm’s health care clients in litigation matters, including employment disputes and restrictive covenant litigation. Mr. Tasch is experienced in all forms of alternative dispute resolution including arbitration and mediation. He summarizes his approach toward his practice by saying: “I concentrate on obtaining a satisfactory result for the client in a prompt and efficient manner. Unlike too many of today’s lawyers, I do not view litigation as an end in itself. Rather, litigation is a tool which should focus on the client’s needs and goals. The attorney’s role is to resolve the dispute in a manner consistent with those needs and goals, while involving the client in every step of the process. A client’s trust in the attorney should never be taken for granted.” Mr. Tasch is married with four children. He lives with his family in Roselle, Illinois. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, golf, skiing and piano. bar admissions
