AREAS OF PRACTICE
Will Thayer graduated cum laude from Ohio University where he also played on the men’s ice hockey team. He graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law where he served as Vice President of the Moot Court Honor’s Society.
After graduating from law school, Will worked at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he sharpened his litigation skills, trying over 150 cases and arguing hundreds of motions.
Will now uses his vast litigation experience to aggressively represent clients in a wide range of family law issues including: divorce, orders of protection, high conflict parenting issues, paternity, child support issues, or a variety of post-decree issues.
Whether representing business owners, parties with complex estates, complicated parenting issues, parents of children with special needs, or parties who want to preserve assets they have spent their life working for, Will loves helping his clients protect what is important to them. He counsels each client so they can formulate and execute a plan specific to their family's needs and then he vigorously pursues it so they can achieve their long-term goals and secure their family’s future.
Will has been named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2019, 2022, and 2023 an honor reserved for only 2.5% of all attorneys in Illinois.
